March 17th Update for Dental Patients Regarding COVID-19
Dear Friends and Family,
Due to the concerns over the COVID-19 coronavirus and as advised by the governing board of dentists in BC (College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia, CDSBC), our dental office will be closed until March 22nd.
At the Pacific Dental Conference (PDC), there was an individual who tested positive for the coronavirus. He was there at the conference on March 6th from 2-4 pm. On March 12th, it was advised by Vancouver Coastal health that dentists be allowed to continue to practice dentistry as the risk of exposure was considered low. It’s important to note that our staff members were not in attendance at the Pacific Dental Conference specifically on March 6th from 2-4 pm.
On March 16th, CDSBC and the public health minister updated their news on the coronavirus stating that all dentists and staff members who attended the PDC, regardless of time, were required to isolate themselves until March 22nd.
We want to let you know that your health and safety are our utmost priority and importance, therefore our office will be closed until next week March 23rd. We will re-open on March 24th unless otherwise stated by the health authorities.
All dental procedures will be pre-screened before we determine whether to go ahead with treatment or not.
Thank you for your patience during this difficult time. Please be safe.
Sincerely,
Loft 19 Dental Staff
